WebMagic is the bridge between your business and LaTeX2Web

What is LaTeX2Web

LaTeX2web is a document publishing platform for the internet, with an emphasis on mobile devices compatibility.

It targets complex documents, notably with lots of cross-references. A cross-reference mentions a part of the document within another part of a document.

LaTeX2Web uses cross-references in several ways.

Classical references

In LateX2Web, when you click on a link to the reference, the content of the reference is inserted right into the text flow.

Site-wide cross-references

LaTeX2Web goes further : you can reference (if authorized) any content anywhere in the platform. This way you can reference the work of other members of your team in your own document.

Collaborative documents

Instead of referencing the content of others, you can directly insert the content itself. This insertion is dynamic. Each time you publish the composite document, its remote portions are updated to their latest version.

Access restriction

Whether you want to work on a confidential document, or if it is simply not ready to be public, there is a wide range of access permissions for documents, all managed within LaTeX2Web.

Discussions

A great feature of LaTeX2Web is that documents are open to discussions. Whether you want some feedback on a public document, or feedback from your collaborators in a composite document, discussions are always available, unless they are disabled by the owner of the document.

All discussions are moderated by the document owner.

How are documents created?

The documents are created as flat text resources. These can be edited within LaTeX2Web, or simply written on your computer and pasted into LaTeX2Web.

The document source is based on an internet-savvy version of LaTeX. LaTeX has a reputation of being complicated, but it is actually very simple if you do not use equations or complex page layout. We have a short tutorial on LaTeX that will set you up and running in minutes.

This extension of LaTeX also makes it possible to include web page components directly from the document source. You can embed videos, create slideshows, and much more. We have a quick description.

Recap

LaTeX2Web is the shortest way between complex content and mobile-friendly web documents. Call a collaborator or a customer to discuss some topic, and your correspondent will have direct access to the information.

Or, if you are away from your computer and want to study or simply read a document, all you have to do is use your smartphone.
